We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Nurse to join our Team!

Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 24 -32 hours per week

Location: Midlands, Ireland

The Clinical Nurse will play a key role in the monitoring and review of the governance framework within Tarasis Healthcare and will seek for continuous improvement of the services provided through clinical audits, evaluation and feedback. They will assure governance across the community setting through observation of care staff and by providing guidance and direction on training of staff in line with the HIQA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and regular review of care plans to ensure service users receive high quality, safe, and reliable care
  • Promote and develop a culture of quality and safety throughout all services provided by Tarasis Healthcare
  • Laise with Community Management Team to ensure compliance of service delivery in line with Tarasis Healthcare policy and procedures.
  • Monitoring and direct supervision of care staff in compliance with National Carer Competency Assessment
  • Oversee and promote infection prevention and control across all services provided by Tarasis Healthcare
  • Participate in the identification, development and delivery of induction and mandatory training programmes in accordance with current HSE Service specification.
  • Work collaboratively with Community/Department Managers and advise on the identification of training needs arising from competence gaps.
  • Assist in formulating, implementing and evaluating service delivery under the direction of the Head of Operations and Compliance.
  • Ensure that high professional standards and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain professional standards in keeping with An Bord Altranais Code of Professional Conduct and have an understanding of all An Bord Altranais documents and their implications for nursing practice.
  • Maintain continued professional development in line with current legislation and best practice.


What We Need From You:

  • Registered Nurse with current registration with NMBI or NMC (Adult Nursing).
  • QQI Level 6 in Patient Handling, or willingness to complete prior to commencement.
  • A patient-centred approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities.
  • Good IT skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
  • Full, valid driving licence and access to a car.


Desirable Criteria:

  • 2+Years experience as registered nurse
  • Knowledge of e-learning platforms
  • Experience in team supervision
  • Experience in teaching and development of staff by creating a culture of learning within the organisation.
