Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Engineer within UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
This Research Engineer post is available in the Internet of Things Engineering Lab, UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, to support the Moving Well-Being Well Computer Vision Assessment Tool (MWBW-CAT) project.
MWBW-CAT will develop an embedded computer-vision prototype for automated assessment and feedback on children's fundamental movement skills using a low-cost edge-AI platform, camera-based pose estimation, and on-device processing. The appointed Research Engineer will implement the Jetson-based prototype, develop and test computer-vision pipelines, support data collection and annotation workflows, and contribute to validation of the system against expert-labelled movement assessments.
Fixed Salary: €44,500 per annum (€22,250 per annum @ 0.5fte)
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
