Immigration Consultant

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Immigration Consultant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day casework of various Irish immigration matters, from case assessment to reviewing and filing applications, as well as providing advice to clients

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Immigration Case Work
  • Assess client objectives (typically multinational companies and high-net-worth individuals), providing guidance to achieve objectives and making compliance and regulatory risk assessments.
  • Conduct in-depth assessment of immigration compliance pathways, including data collection, verification, and risk analysis for individual cases or larger projects.
  • Troubleshoot cases and establish strategy with the Manager, ensuring work is reviewed and signed off at key benchmark stages.
  • Prepare and draft employment permit applications, entry visas, and a range of immigration applications for Fragomen's multinational clients under Manager supervision.
  • Develop strategy for graduate Irish placements, complex EU Directive implementation, nationality and citizenship matters, and broader compliance work, providing advice to businesses, individuals, and families.


Client Support
  • Provide training and immigration consultancy to clients, preparing presentations in advance to support process improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Act as a key point of contact for advice on large-scale business projects, global mobility regulatory and compliance requirements, and general project management.
  • Provide process overviews, regulatory updates, and contribute to strategy discussions with Global Mobility and HR teams; occasional onsite client visits may be required.
  • Liaise with government agencies such as DETE, ISD, and Irish Embassies abroad.
  • Determine parameters for internal data collection, interpret reports, and recommend solutions and proposals to clients.
  • Ensure all correspondence is clear, concise, and appropriate for the audience, maintaining client style.
  • Take ownership of client reporting.


Team Support
  • Implement in-house procedures to improve efficiency using Fragomen's internal systems, and work with client accounts to ensure effective strategies, project management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Delegate work using software management tools.
  • Analyse case management data to identify best practices, address software pitfalls, and improve protocols and workflows.
  • Assist with office-wide projects on efficiency, business development, and maintenance of the regulatory knowledge database.


KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE EXPECTED

The ideal person for this role will be a self-starter with a background in a busy client facing role with excellent organisational skills.

Also required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Professional experience with immigration provider preferred
  • Client-facing experience
  • Understanding of immigration compliance, regulatory and Right to Work Requirements
  • Strong interest in immigration as well as the desire to further career within this field
  • Knowledge of case and data management and risk analysis
  • Understanding of billing and billing procedures
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams
  • Strong ability to prioritize workload, manage competing deadlines, and consistently meet service level agreements
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
