Portwest - The Outdoor Shop is a leading, family owned Irish retailer of outdoor and leisurewear apparel, footwear, and equipment with 4 locations along the Wild Atlantic Way. Established in 1904, we have been providing quality products and customer service for more than 120 years.

We work with over 50 of some of the best outdoor brands on the market, our team are motivated by personal passions where you will be helping our community gear up for the next peak, trek or trail. You will lead a team of fellow enthusiasts to deliver expert advice, to ensure the customer leaves well equipped and has their needs covered.

We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Sales Assistant for our Galway Store. Candidates must be available to work mid-week as well as weekends.

The role will involve the following:

• Promoting excellent customer experience in the store
• Product merchandising and store presentation.
• Processing online orders.
• Stock Management
• Working as part of a team to achieve store performance targets.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• Minimum of 1 years retail experience.
• Keen interest in the outdoors and product knowledge desirable.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanour.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A keen eye for detail and strong merchandising skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
