Due to our continued success, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to help develop relationships and deliver best-in-class service to our corporate clients. This is a field-based role that is responsible for key client acquisition. The successful candidate will establish relationships with key decision makers and progress sales opportunities from direct lead generation through to close and completion. A winning attitude combined with a sales-focused, hunting mindset is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grow and develop the business through new client acquisition.
- Develop a long-term active pipeline of letting and estate agents and target new market opportunities.
- To negotiate and successfully close sales opportunities to meet and exceed agreed sales targets.
- To develop and build long-term professional customer relationships and existing, new, and potential clients.
- Maintain excellent relationships and after-sales support to build mutual confidence in line with the agreed business strategy.
- Raise the company and business profile by representing PrepayPower at industry events, high-level networking and always promoting an image of professionalism.
- Keep up to date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor and client activity and market trends.
- Liaise regularly with the Sales Operation & Growth Manager to ensure they are fully updated on all sales activities and potential new business opportunities.
- Ensure that appropriate signoffs are adhered to when considering new business opportunities with our operational team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a B2B Sales role within a high-growth organisation
- Knowledge of the energy market.
- Excellent relationship, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in delivering against targets/deadlines.
- Results-driven, goal-oriented with a strong hunting mentality.
- Proactive, self-starter who enjoys having accountability and ownership.
- Experience in dealing with a range of people.
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of customer focus and promote a sense of team spirit.
- Must be able to influence others and engender confidence in senior managers through both face-to-face, telephone and written communication.
- Self-motivated with an ability to prioritise demands and make decisions under pressure.
