Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in Ireland (EU-based candidates only)
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a CNC Machinist / CNC Operator role
  • Proven experience programming using manual G-codes
  • Experience setting and operating multi-axis CNC machines, including mills and lathes
  • Hands-on experience with Haas, Hurco, Heidenhain, or Fagor control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, including GD&T
  • Fluent spoken and written English

Job Overview
As a Qualified CNC Operator / Machinist you will play a critical role in the manufacture of new products and the continuous improvement of existing designs. This is a hands-on position requiring a high level of technical expertise, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand job specifications and adjust machine settings accordingly
  • Program and set up CNC milling machines to machine parts directly from design drawings
  • Set up CNC mills and lathes in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings with a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances
  • Prepare and load raw materials and components onto machines
  • Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments during production
  • Ensure assigned responsibilities are completed accurately and on time
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining high quality standards
  • Maintain safe working practices by strictly adhering to all safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Recognized CNC Machining qualification or completed apprenticeship in a related discipline
  • Ongoing training or certification in CNC programming or machining is an advantage
