Why this role is important to us
The role will report directly to the Senior Managers for Fund Risk.
This is an important role within the organization, as main support of the designated person for fund risk in the management of the funds for which AIL acts as investment manager and for the funds where AIL is designated as the Management Company.
Two distinct aspects of the AIL Risk Management which involve ensuring that funds comply with applicable regulations, the risk strategy, and client guidelines.As the increase in new solutions and the support to other Amundi entities is growing quickly, the role will allow to be exposed to several projects, strategies and asset types requiring a high level of knowledge, understanding and involvement.
The successful candidate will work closely with various members of the overall Risk department: investment compliance risk and operational risk teams as well as the Investment teams and other teams of the Amundi Group as required.
It is essential to have skills in data management and coding in order to extract and analyse a wide range of indicators and data. Python and PWBI coding skills are mandatory. The understanding of the major risk indicators is a prerequisite: volatility, VaR, global exposure, duration ... as part of a strong risk culture is essential.
What you will be responsible for
• Participate in the daily review of non-compliance issues identified during the monitoring of investment compliance using proprietary system ALTO
• Monitoring and control of all risk classifications: market, regulatory, liquidity, valuation, credit, counterparty, operational and ESG risks
• Monitor IMA, prospectus, regulatory, risk and internal limits on the portfolios managed in Dublin on both a pre and post trade basis.
• Assist in product launches, preparation of rule matrices and implementation of new funds when required
• Monitor requirements under the Investment Risk framework as required.
• Liaise with the Investment teams to investigate any breaches identified, as well as addressing any queries relating to risk monitoring and adequacy to risk appetite.
• Handle queries received from the delegates, the product team or the client services team and ensure they are responded to appropriately and timely.
• Escalate breaches as appropriate per procedures to the DPs and CRO
• Prepare, develop and participate in portfolio reviews with Investment Teams to assess and address investment risks on an ongoing basis
• Prepare monthly reporting within the deadlines (AUM / ESG / Performance / Client)
• Assist the risk managers into the oversight of the client funds that are delegated to other Investment Management companies.
• Develop the use of appropriate risk indicators, perform trend analysis and provide relevant highlights on the funds managed by AIL.
• Help with preparation of documents to be presented at the Risk Management Committee and Board as well as other meetings as required.
