Applications are invited for a temporary post of a UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within UCD School of Earth Sciences.
This research-focused role will advance the characterisation and 3D modelling of geothermal systems in Ireland, the UK and elsewhere in the EU, focusing on limestone-shale host rocks and deep hot sedimentary aquifers (HSAs). The successful candidate will integrate multi-scale data to develop a suite of static and dynamic geothermal reservoir models, as input for the SEAI ThermStore-DH and the CET GEOGUARD projects. This work directly contributes to the School of Earth Sciences' goal of establishing evidence-based risk management and suitability assessments for geothermal energy deployment in Ireland and elsewhere.

PD1 Salary Range: €46,805 - €53,391 Per Annum
PD2 Salary Range: €54,850 - €59,654 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

- This role is full time based in UCD School of Earth Sciences in Dublin.

- This position is advertised as a split level PD1 / PD2 post.
