Purpose of the role

The purpose of this post is to act as the Administrative Lead for Orthopaedic Department and support the Grade VI Manager and the Operations Team within the Orthopaedic service. He/she will also have overall responsibility for ensuring that the waiting lists are managed within the specified timeframes as per the OPD Waiting List Management Protocol. He/she will be expected to lead the administrative elements of service developments as they come up including working across all CHI sites.

Essential Criteria
  • Achieved Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification not less than Level 6 in the QQI framework or equivalent qualification.
  • Have at least 5years secretarial/administrative hospital experience in a clerical position.
  • Evidence of customer service skills/experience
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both written and oral formats
