Job Description:
We seek a diligent anddetail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidatewill manage various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with ourfinancial policies and procedures. This role involves handling goods inwardinvoices, managing accounts receivable, performing daily income audits, andmaintaining our financial email correspondence. This is a part-time role, 20-24 hours per week.
Main Responsibilities:
Goods Inwards InvoicesManagement:
- Match purchase orders, delivery dockets, and invoices using ProcureWizard.
- Ensure all goods received are accurately documented, and discrepanciesare promptly resolved.
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Post and reconcile payments using the HotSoft system.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstandingpayments.
Daily Income Audit:
- Perform daily income audit testing to verify cash and credit cardtransactions.
- Reconcile cash lodgements and credit card payments.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies that arise during audits.
Email and AdministrativeManagement:
- Manage the finance department's email inbox, ensuring timely responsesto queries.
- Organize and file financial documents electronically and physically asneeded.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team, including dataentry and document preparation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as anAccounts Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accountingsoftware (experience with Procure Wizard and HotSoft is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail andorganizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitiveinformation with confidentiality.
- Basic understanding ofaccounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in Microsoft OfficeSuite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Education:
- High school diploma orequivalent required.
- Associate's degree inaccounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Skills:
- Accuracy and attention todetail.
- Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independentlyand as part of a team.
- Excellent time management andmultitasking abilities.
