Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position:
- Extensive ERP implementation experience with deep expertise in finance modules (Oracle preferred, SAP S/4HANA valued), combined with a fully qualified accountant credential and proven track record in design and implementation within the Government & Public Services sector
- Comprehensive finance domain expertise spanning Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Controllership, Treasury, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR), with demonstrated ability to optimise finance processes and design operating models that drive organisational efficiency
- Proven programme leadership at scale, with significant experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, engaging senior stakeholders, and delivering large-scale transformation projects on time, within scope, and within budget
- Strategic mindset with emerging technology awareness alongside an understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI applications, with a proactive approach to continuous learning and innovation in evolving technology landscapes
What type of work will I be doing?
- Lead and shape the finance ERP offering within the Finance Transformation team for Government & Public Services, setting strategic direction and establishing best practices that differentiate Deloitte's capability
- Collaborate with ERP technical teams to develop optimal solutions and strategies, ensuring best-fit design and delivery that aligns with client requirements and industry standards
- Provide technical guidance and thought leadership on finance ERP systems and emerging technologies, staying ahead of industry trends and translating complex technical concepts for senior stakeholders
- Manage end-to-end programme delivery spanning requirements gathering, process design, system integration, and change management-leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver transformations on time and within budget
- Engage with senior government stakeholders, understanding their strategic objectives and translating them into finance solutions that drive operational excellence and value
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale finance ERP programmes, balancing competing priorities, managing stakeholder expectations, and maintaining project governance throughout the transformation lifecycle
- Drive finance process optimisation by leveraging your deep expertise in controllership, FP&A, treasury, and accounts functions to design operating models that enhance efficiency and financial control
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance finance transformation outcomes and client value
