Applications are invited for a temporary part time post of a BiOrbic Social Media & Public Engagement Assistant within UCD School of Biomolecular and Biomedical Science.
Reporting to the Communications & External Affairs Manager, the BiOrbic Social Media & Public Engagement Assistant will design and post regular, engaging content for BiOrbic's social media channels. This content will be public-facing and will be particularly targeted to Instagram, YouTube and Tik Tok, aligning with social media trends.
The aim of this content creation will be to increase followership on these channels, build engagement and awareness of the sustainable, circular bioeconomy and educate the public about BiOrbic's research.
The BiOrbic Social Media & Public Engagement Assistant will monitor the growth of these channels and contribute ideas for new post formats, campaigns or practices that should increase engagement. Occasionally, the successful candidate will attend BiOrbic's events and activities to collect media for content creation.
Fixed Salary: €36,000 per annum pro-rata.
Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 01/07/2026.
