Purpose of the role
The purpose of this post is to manage and support Scheduled Care initiatives across CHI and contribute to the identification and progression of new ways of improving access to clinical services for patients on waiting lists. To work towards the reduction of wait time for CHI patients and their families in out-patients, in-patients, day cases and GI Scopes.

The purpose of this post is to manage and support Scheduled Care initiatives across CHI and contribute to the identification and progression of new ways of improving access to clinical services for patients on waiting lists. The role will:
- Support and oversee the project teams in completion of documentation and associated research required to progress initiatives.
- Deliver the completion and submission of cross-site NTPF initiatives including initial proposals, monitoring of NTPF cross site activity and support on invoicing and tracking procedures to ensure value for money
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the management of waiting lists for all specialties across CHI
- Oversight and management of outsourcing initiatives within Schedule Care
- Oversight and management of OPD and IPDC Validation
Essential Criteria
- Have achieved a minimum of Level 6 QQI qualification
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, with at least two of these in a supervisory role.
- A knowledge of process mapping with a focus on lean processes and identification of gaps for improvement
- Previous experience of ICT Administrative Systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills at all levels of an organisation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex data and arguments in a way that is accessible to everyone.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
- Excellent IT skills and knowledge and be a proficient user of MS Office (Word, Excel) and Hospital ICT systems.
