Social Care Worker - Day Service

Job Description TTM Healthcare are currently recruiting a Male Social Care Worker to join a Day service Intellectual Disabilities setting base in Kilkenny. This is a permanent full time contract. Shifts run from 9am to 4pm from Monday to Friday. Salary: From 33k to 39k per annum. We are looking for someone with significant experience an someone who can hold the space and provide boundaries. Requirements: Experience of working in a 'high support' environment while supporting people whose behaviour is described as sometimes challenging. QQI Level 6 in Social Care Experience of working with people with a intellectual disability and/or Autism Experience in implementing behavioural interventions. To effectively implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods. A working knowledge of New Directions, Health and Safety regulations, knowledge of HIQA standards and requirements. Fluent English and excellent communication skills. Effective communication skills, computer literacy skills including the use of Microsoft Office would be a distinct advantage To be aware of health and safety responsibilities, taking all possible steps to ensure a safe working environment, and reporting all incidents and potential hazards.
