Salary: €55,470.26 - €64,327.55
The Donor Care Manager will lead the Donor Care team to provide Focus Ireland supporters with the best experience possible, encouraging donor retention to maximise lifetime value and engagement.
What you will do:
Supporter Experience
Lead and deliver a high-quality, supporter-centric fundraising approach, driving personalised, values-led interactions and consistent supporter journeys across all audiences.
Influence stakeholders and manage the team to embed a collaborative, insight-led culture of continuous improvement in supporter experience and retention.
Operational Delivery
Oversee day-to-day donor care operations, ensuring efficient processes, accurate donation processing, and strong collaboration with CRM to maintain data quality and compliance.
Develop and improve standard operating procedures, ensure regulatory adherence, and support system enhancements and CRM development projects.
Budgeting and Financial Management
Manage donor care budgets, systems, and operational costs, monitoring expenditure and ensuring financial control.
Identify and implement cost-efficiencies while maintaining high standards of supporter experience.
Supplier Management
Manage external supplier relationships, including contracts, SLAs, procurement, and performance monitoring to ensure value, quality, and compliance.
Resolve issues proactively and drive improvements across donation and payment service providers.
Tax Effective Giving
Oversee tax-efficient giving schemes, ensuring compliance, accurate record-keeping, and maximisation of income through CHY capture and claims.
Lead Tax Giving campaigns, collaborating across teams to promote uptake, schedule communications, and monitor performance.
Team Collaboration and Support / Insights and Reporting
Collaborate cross-functionally and support team development, resource planning, and organisational initiatives while sharing insights to enhance supporter engagement.
Deliver reporting and analysis on donor care performance, using KPIs and data insights to identify trends, inform strategy, and ensure compliance and transparency.
What you will need:
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in fundraising.
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Significant donor/customer care experience obtained from the commercial or charity sectors.
Strong experience working with CRM systems and data (MS Dynamics an advantage).
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
A proactive, solution-focused mindset, with the ability to take initiative and continuously improve performance.
Ability to lead a team and influence stakeholders – both internal and external.
Excellent understanding of Data Protection law and best practice, including GDPR.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond sensitively to supporters and customers.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience of managing budgets. (Desirable)
Experience of donation and payment platforms. (Desirable)
Understanding or experience with Revenue’s Tax Effective Giving Scheme. (Desirable)
