PMO Lead
WaterWipes
Drogheda, Louth, Ireland
Full Time
Reference: 575201890
We're building this capability from the ground up.
In this role you will have the opportunity to define how projects are delivered at WaterWipes, bringing structure, clarity, and momentum where it matters most. You will set the standard, lead the change, and build confidence across the organisation.
The Opportunity
WaterWipes is at a point where strong execution matters more than ever. We have ambitious plans, but we don't yet have a consistent way of delivering projects across the business, and this role is designed to change that. You will establish and lead our PMO function, shaping governance, driving delivery discipline, and building capability across teams. This is a hands-on leadership role where success comes from making frameworks work in practice, not just designing them.
What You'll Be Accountable For
You will build and embed a PMO that works for a fast-paced FMCG business while defining governance, standards, and delivery frameworks that balance structure with flexibility. You will bring visibility across all projects by ensuring clear reporting on status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes, while stepping into at-risk initiatives to guide recovery and improve delivery.
A key part of the role is partnering with senior stakeholders to support prioritisation and decision making, while also coaching project managers and cross-functional teams to improve how projects are planned, managed, and delivered. You will introduce structured planning, budgeting, and reporting where it is needed, while ensuring the approach remains practical and does not slow the business down. Over time, you will build a strong internal project management community with shared ways of working and consistent standards.
Who This Role Is For
This role is suited to someone who has built or transformed a PMO and is comfortable starting from a low maturity environment where structure needs to be created from scratch. You will be naturally hands-on and pragmatic in your approach, with experience working in FMCG, manufacturing, or supply chain environments. You are able to influence without relying on hierarchy and are equally comfortable coaching people as you are stepping in to resolve delivery challenges.
What Will Make You Successful Here
You will be successful if you are able to bring structure where it is needed without overengineering processes, and if you focus on delivering early wins that build credibility and trust across the organisation. You will be successful if you can balance governance with pace, work effectively across functions, and build capability in others rather than creating dependency, while maintaining a strong focus on outcomes rather than process.
Why Join WaterWipes
WaterWipes is a fast-growing business with strong momentum and clear ambition. This role offers the opportunity to build a core capability that directly impacts how we execute and scale across the organisation. You will have visibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape how work gets done, rather than maintaining an existing structure.
Location & Practicalities
The role is based in Drogheda, Co. Louth, operating on a hybrid model, with approx. three days onsite and two days remote, and works cross functionally with senior and C-suite leadership as well as teams including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Finance
