The Workplace Services (WPS) Centralized Business Control role partners with stakeholders across the business to support effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational control.
This role provides consultation and guidance to help identify, assess, and mitigate risk while contributing to the development of sustainable processes, controls, and governance frameworks.

About the Role
The Workplace Services (WPS) Centralized Business Control role partners with stakeholders across the business to support effective risk management, regulatory compliance, and operational control.
This role provides consultation and guidance to help identify, assess, and mitigate risk while contributing to the development of sustainable processes, controls, and governance frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage operational risks and control effectiveness.
- Support and participate in Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) activities, including preparation, facilitation, and action planning.
- Develop, implement, and track remediation plans, taking ownership of issue resolution from identification through to closure.
- Monitor and escalate risks or delays to ensure timely resolution and alignment with governance expectations.
- Identify and manage operational risk events and near misses, supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with internal audit and testing teams to support fieldwork and ensure timely delivery of remediation actions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies, standards, and operational procedures within Workplace Services.
- Support business continuity planning, including documentation, coordination, and annual testing of plans.
- Assist in the management and reporting of privacy incidents, ensuring compliance with enterprise processes and controls.
- Maintain reporting dashboards and provide regular updates to stakeholders on risk, control, and remediation activities.
- Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to support risk assessments, including completion of Inherent Risk Questionnaires (IRQ).
Skills and Experience
- Experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or operational control environments
- Understanding of risk frameworks such as RCSA, audit, SOX, or business continuity planning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within agreed timelines
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with workflow or risk management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) is beneficial but not essential
