At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Officer to be based in Sligo

Shift Pattern; Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:00 Friday 08:00 - 15;00

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Performing routine maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds, to the highest standards.
  • Conducting regular inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs proactively.
  • Address issues related to building systems, machinery, and appliances efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when performing maintenance tasks to ensure a secure and hazard-free environment.
  • Reporting any safety hazards or concerns to the Site Manager.
  • Reporting any malfunctioning tools or equipment and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Ensuring necessary cervices and checks are conducted internally or by appointed professionals promptly and with minimal disruption to the facility.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance in and around the building according to the maintenance schedule.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and performs necessary repairs promptly.
  • Attending to painting work as scheduled. and maintain all fixtures and appliances.
  • Inspecting and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure they are in a good working condition.
  • Manage subcontractors if/when required and all the work that needs to be carried out by third parties.
  • Maintaining the exterior of the property by performing landscaping tasks, clearing debris, and ensuring a clean and well-kept outdoor environment.
  • Assist with custodial tasks as needed, such as cleaning and maintaining common areas, dealing with recycling, and responding to spills or other cleanliness concerns.
  • Organising necessary supplies and restocking when needed.
  • Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and address facility-related issues.
  • Adhere to all Apleona policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining confidentiality on all matters relating to clients, former clients, and general business


Qualifications and experience
  • Previous experience in a similar position and environment.
  • Previous post qualified experience.
  • Previous experience working in a building services maintenance role.
  • Must be physically fit as this can be a demanding role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable depending on the requirements of the role.
