Description
This role offers a suitable candidate the opportunity to be part of an expanding private client team where you will gain excellent experience across a broad range of private client services with a clear career path.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance:
Manage the income tax compliance for a portfolio of clients. This will be a continuing element of the job.
Reviewing income tax computations and returns prepared by more junior staff. Some preparation of income tax returns in the first year (complicated returns).
Liaising with Revenue in respect of client matters
Tax Consultancy:
Perform research on tax technical issues and drafting of relevant tax advice to clients in relation to a broad range of matters including:
Tax residency planning:
Estate/CAT tax matters including cross border issues.
Restructuring:
Capital taxes e.g. retirement relief, business relief, entrepreneurs relief.
Key Requirements
AITI qualified with at circa 3 years PQE.
A desire to develop strong tax technical knowledge across CAT, CGT and income tax with a broad knowledge across other tax heads
Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and other service providers to those clients
Attention to detail
Ability to develop relationships with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
