Coordinator, Payroll Client Services
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Coordinator, Payroll Client Services based in Ireland.
This role sits at the core of payroll operations, ensuring that client payroll inquiries are handled accurately, efficiently, and in line with defined processes. You will be responsible for supporting customers through structured ticket-based workflows while developing a strong understanding of payroll systems, compliance rules, and operational best practices. Working in a fully remote, asynchronous global environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain a high standard of service delivery. The position is ideal for someone detail-oriented, eager to learn, and motivated to build expertise in payroll operations. Over time, you will grow your ability to independently handle more complex payroll cases and contribute to improving internal processes. This is a foundational role with clear progression in a fast-growing international organization.
Accountabilities:
- Handle and resolve customer payroll-related inquiries, including discrepancies, system questions, and basic operational issues.
- Respond to tickets across email, chat, and other support channels while meeting defined SLAs and quality standards.
- Follow established workflows, documentation, and escalation paths to ensure consistent and accurate case resolution.
- Collect and verify relevant information needed to diagnose payroll issues effectively.
- Escalate complex or non-standard cases to senior team members when required.
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of customer interactions, issue details, and resolution steps.
- Provide timely updates to customers regarding case progress and resolution timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth resolution of cross-functional payroll issues.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in customer support, client services, or operational support roles, ideally in a tech or SaaS environment.
- Strong interest in payroll, HR operations, or financial processes, with willingness to build deep domain expertise.
- Experience working with CRM or ticketing systems to manage and track customer requests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured processes accurately.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment.
- Comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous, and fast-paced setting.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to learning and escalation.
- Interest in global payroll, compliance, or HR tech systems is a plus.
