Electrical Person in Charge of Works (PICW) - Stations

Mainline is growing fast and are currently looking to hire PICW’s to work on exciting multi-disciplinary and framework projects. The role presents a great opportunity for the right candidate. We are looking for people who will embrace the opportunity and progress with the business as it grows.

 

Your new role:

You will be part of an experienced project delivery team working on large-scale power and ESB Framework projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required

Work closely with the site management on such duties as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering equipment

Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards and ensure compliance

Diagnose systems, equipment, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of faults

Connect cables to circuit breakers, transformers, CT/VT or other components

Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system

Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications

Oversee the assembly, install, and test, of electrical equipment and components

 

Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience:

Qualified electrician

Supervisory experience of 33Kv or higher live substations is essential

Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Excellent organisational skills

Fluent in spoken and written English (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, CPE or equivalent)

 

The company will provide:

ESB induction training

PICW training

SafePass training

Package:

Minimum €32.00 per hour DOE (this will increase when PICW level qualification is reached)

Pension Sick pay scheme after 13 weeks

Company vehicle – full  driver’s licence required

Fuel card and toll tag supplied with vehicle
