Key Responsibilities
-Conduct site surveys specifically for 3-phase (DG5) smart meter installations
-Gather and record accurate data including meter location, access requirements, and installation feasibility
-Identify any constraints, safety risks, or non-standard installation requirements and escalate where necessary
-Complete survey reports using designated mobile and internal systems in a timely and accurate manner
-Liaise with internal teams including Planning, Scheduling, and Delivery to ensure smooth project execution
-Engage with customers and site stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner
-Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards and company procedures while on site
-Maintain high-quality data standards to support installation teams and project delivery
-Provide feedback from site to support continuous improvement of survey processes
-Attend team meetings and briefings as required
-Travel as required across assigned regions
About the role
Due to continued growth and an increase in project demand, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Surveyor to support the rollout of Smart Metering projects across Ireland.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, reporting to the Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out surveys for 3-phase meters (DG5), ensuring all relevant technical and environmental data is captured to support efficient planning and installation.
Full training will be provided, and prior experience with DG5 or smart metering is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to transition into the utilities or energy sector.

Qualifications
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent
- Relevant technical, electrical, or trade qualification (desirable but not essential)
Knowledge
- Understanding of utilities, construction, or field-based environments (desirable)
- Awareness of site survey processes and data collection methods
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices in outdoor/site environments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and mobile data systems
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple locations/surveys effectively
- Comfortable learning new technical processes and systems (training provided)
