Senior Project Engineer - Electrical (Data Centres)

About the job:
As a Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer at Ethos Engineering, you will work within Data Centre sector. Have a thorough grasp of electrical design and engineering techniques. With a confidence in working independently and in support of the team, ensuring successful completion of designs to meet construction timelines and requirements.

About you:

• Honours Degree - Chartered an advantage but not essential
• 10+ years as a Senior Engineer
• Must have electrical building services design experience within Data Centre engineering projects
• In-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques
• Deep knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards
• Working knowledge of Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT an advantage
• Confident leading projects from the concept stage to completion
• Communicative and able to liaise with clients, architects, and project managers
• Manage the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems for a range of projects
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills

Your day-to-day activities:

• Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects
• Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors
• Produce detailed schematics
• Develop the electrical design standards within the organisation
• Mentor junior engineering staff
• Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
• Tender report/analysis/recommendations
• Develop project scope with the design team/client
• Confidently use Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT
• Produce budgets and reports for clients
• Attend site visits
• Take lead on projects with minimal input from the management team
