About the job

As a Senior Technical Recruiter for EMEA, you will be the strategic talent partner behind the expansion of Twilio's core engineering and product teams. Managing full-cycle recruitment across various locations in EMEA you will act as a trusted advisor to senior R&D leaders. You won't just fill roles; you will leverage market intelligence to advise on regional talent pools, and champion diverse hiring pipelines. In this high-impact role, your expertise will directly shape the engineering culture and capabilities of Twilio's premier EMEA hubs.

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll:

  • Be a strategic talent advisor and trusted thought partner to engineering and product leadership by proactively leveraging talent intelligence, extensive market knowledge, and external talent insights to drive innovative hiring approaches and influence the strategic direction of searches.
  • Independently own end-to-end recruitment for complex and specialized R&D (Product and Technology) roles, using your business acumen and recruiting expertise to architect and deliver on strategic recruiting plans to identify, proactively source, and hire qualified talent.
  • Design and scale engineering recruiting programs that institutionalize a high technical talent bar, ranging from targeted industry outreach to delivering structured interview frameworks that mitigate bias and ensure equitable hiring outcomes. Orchestrate a high-signal candidate journey and positive experience by removing process friction and ensuring consistent, values-aligned communication across all interview stages.
  • Collect, analyze, and use talent insights and internal data to proactively set expectations and drive calibration with hiring teams. Advise and guide leaders on defining success profiles, prioritization, location decisions, and critical trade-offs based on skills-informed assessments. Align interviewer panels on assessment criteria to help drive the best possible hiring outcomes for Twilio.
  • Build and maintain trusted, collaborative relationships with VP-level R&D (Product and Technology) leaders, HRBPs, and other cross-function partners (Total Rewards, Finance, TA Ops) and TA COEs.
  • Use AI, tools, and technology to stay up-to-date on technical recruiting best practices, emerging sourcing techniques, interview innovations, and workplace trends to raise the bar for hiring quality talent.
  • Communicate and negotiate effectively and diplomatically across complex offer structures that include equity, using data and strategic influence to achieve desired business results.
  • Act as a trusted partner and strong contributor across TA and People Partnerships teams. Influence collaborative outcomes without authority, manage through ambiguity effectively, and take a proactive approach to identifying potential hiring roadblocks before they arise.

  • Extensive full-cycle technical recruiting experience hiring for software/ML/AI engineers, TPMs, and engineering management within tech or tech-adjacent environments (e.g., Fintech).
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and negotiation skills, with the business acumen to navigate the competitive tech talent landscape and influence leadership. Proven ability to close in-demand talent and manage complex offer packages by artfully selling our strong EVP, flexible remote work model, and standout culture, while successfully guiding internal stakeholders on market realities versus individual candidate demands.
  • Strong expertise in using talent data analytics and market intelligence to steer evidence-based hiring decisions and gain the trust of R&D leaders. Experience leading process improvements and technical hiring initiatives.
  • Capable of operating autonomously in a remote, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment with minimal oversight.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-signal candidate journeys while determining and executing on optimal sourcing methodologies. Adept at navigating searches across multiple open roles with varying job levels, complexity, and urgency, while proactively sourcing and building technical talent pipelines without relying on inbound applications.
  • Advanced ability to evaluate and validate candidate skills while acting as a Twilio brand ambassador.
  • Advanced knowledge of current trends and best practices in technical recruiting. Highly proficient in ATS/CRM platforms, candidate relationship management, and AI recruiting tools and technology.

This role will be remote based in Ireland.
