Job Description & Summary
PwC's Assurance practice is undergoing a fundamental transformation through the implementation of Next Generation Audit (NGA) - a global initiative to redefine how audits are delivered through a human-led, technology-enabled approach. At the heart of this transformation is a new AI-powered audit platform, replacing legacy tools and reshaping content, and audit execution.

As part of the Audit Methodology team within Assurance, this role will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and governing the Irish firm's adoption of NGA. You will contribute directly to how audits are performed across the firm by shaping content, supporting the rollout of new technology, the transformation of behaviours and practices, while ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the centre of audit innovation, influencing firm-wide practices, driving consistency and quality, and gaining deep insight into the future of auditing at PwC.

What you will do:

  • Support the implementation of the NGA platform in Ireland, including the development, tailoring, and approval of methodology content within the new system

  • Analyse and assess Irish-specific modifications required for the global/UK content, including mapping current Aura content and identifying required updates

  • Contribute to the design, simplification, and standardisation of audit procedures and processes, leveraging the transition to a new technology platform

  • Work across dual platforms during transition, supporting the ongoing publication and maintenance of Aura libraries alongside NGA rollout

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Audit Methodology, Risk Management, Assurance Apps, Assurance Transformation and global teams to ensure alignment and compliance

  • Participate in governance, QMSE controls and documentation processes, ensuring all methodology updates meet quality and regulatory requirements

  • Support the review and approval of new NGA applications and GenAI technologies for use within Ireland, including understanding functionality and associated risks

  • Prepare and deliver training materials and presentations to support adoption of NGA and Gen AI technologies across teams and grades

  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the Audit Methodology team, enhancing how the team operates and supports the rollout of global initiatives within Ireland

Who we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in external audit within a Big 4 or similar environment, with deep understanding of audit methodology and ISA (Ireland/UK) requirements

  • Proven expertise in Aura, including library content

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

  • High level of attention to detail and quality focus, particularly in reviewing technical content, policies, and documentation

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex requirements and translate them into practical methodology updates

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging cross-functionally and across geographies

  • Experience in documentation, controls, and quality management processes (QMSE or similar)

  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, or present to a range of stakeholders

  • A process improvement mindset, with a focus on simplification, consistency, and innovation

  • Strong collaboration skills, comfortable working with global teams and diverse stakeholders

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an interest in AI, data and automation
