The Role
This role sits within the European Seafood and Pork divisions, working cross functionally to deliver new product development projects from concept through to launch.
As NPD Technologist, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure products meet both customer and site expectations. You will take ownership of critical paths, support the stage gate process, and contribute to the successful delivery of innovative, commercially viable products.

To support the development and launch of innovative food products, managing projects from concept to launch while ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and timescale across both branded and own label products.

Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a similar role within the food industry
- Knowledge of food processing technologies, ingredients, and formulation principles
- Experience with costing, product specifications, and artwork approval processes beneficial

Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day running of NPD projects, ensuring deadlines are met and issues are resolved proactively
- Develop, monitor, and implement the NPD stage gate process
- Coordinate and communicate weekly and monthly NPD customer briefs to ensure timelines are achieved
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure products meet customer expectations on cost and quality
- Ensure all products are fully costed and reviewed with Finance before progressing to sample stage
- Support improvements in product success rates and customer listings
- Assist in managing successful product launches, ensuring clear communication across departments
- Review product samples prior to dispatch to minimise customer rejections
- Work with the NPD Manager to build a pipeline of new product ideas for existing and potential customers
- Represent the business at food shows and customer presentations where required
- Collaborate with the Sales team to support new business development and maximise factory capacity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
