Research Software Developer I X2, UCD School of Computer Science - CeADAR, Fixed-term Until 30 June 2027

Applications are invited for two temporary posts of Research Software Developer I within UCD School of Computer Science - CeADAR.

CeADAR is funded by the Irish government via Enterprise Ireland and the IDA and is based in University College Dublin. As the national centre for applied artificial intelligence, CeADAR's mission is to help industry and the public sector to adopt AI. In addition, CeADAR is also the designated European Digital Innovation Hub for AI in Ireland and has a strong presence in the European RD&I landscape. See http://www.ceadar.ie/ for further details.

We are very passionate about applying ML algorithms and develop AI applied research and innovation solutions using from classic ML to novel transformer neural networks. We test and measure the real customer impact of each model we deploy and support the ecosystem with training, advisory, and AI infrastructure.

CeADAR is seeking a full-time full-stack, back-end cloud developer to maintain and improve AI2Peat (ai2peat.ie). The successful candidate will implement code for data-and-machine learning pipelining (MLOps, DevOps), geo/relational database management, and all needed API endpoints. Possibilities to work as data engineer/scientist might occur.

This is an exciting opportunity as CeADAR is expanding and has a number of diverse and exciting projects in the area of data science with real application to a variety of verticals in the industry sector both at national and EU level, including the start-up ecosystem. Initially, the selected candidate will initially work on the AI2Peat project.

Salary Range: €40,000 - €50,000 Per Annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
