Associate Systems Administrator
Role overview
The Associate Systems Administrator is an entry-level position within the IT Systems team based in our Dublin office. This role serves as a critical bridge between our IT Service Desk and Global Systems functions, primarily focusing on supporting our EU and UK-based employees.
You will work closely with the IT Service Desk team to resolve technical escalations while aligning with US-based systems engineers to maintain global applications, security policies, patching standards, and network infrastructure across our European locations. This role requires a blend of operational support, technical curiosity, and a commitment to maintaining a secure, highly available environment. On Call work may be required with this roll as needed by the business.
In addition to the responsibilities above, this role also requires regular physical activity, including moving around the office to assist with IT or AV event related tasks, lifting and carrying equipment (upwards of 50lbs), moving tables and chairs, and plugging in devices under desks and other confined spaces. The Associate Systems Administrator must be able to perform these duties safely and efficiently as part of their responsibilities.
What you'll do
System Administration & Support
- Perform daily monitoring, management, and troubleshooting for core corporate enterprise software platforms.
- Assist with the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of identity platforms and collaboration tools.
- Follow established change management procedures for system updates and modifications.
- Maintain accurate system documentation, including runbooks and knowledge base articles for the Service Desk.
Workspace & Endpoint Management
- Support the administration of Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as Jamf and Microsoft Intune.
- Assist in managing end-user devices, including software deployments, VDI deployment and desktop configurations.
- Help implement and enforce security measures like software patches and OS updates.
Networking & Infrastructure
- Provide first-level support for network escalations, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall issues.
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and performance monitoring for EU office environments.
- Support the setup and maintenance of local network hardware under senior guidance.
Identity & Security Compliance
- Manage user lifecycles within identity platforms (e.g., Okta) to ensure appropriate access controls.
- Contribute to incident response efforts by participating in a regional on-call rotation.
- Review incoming IT requests to ensure alignment with company Information Security and governance policies.
What you'll bring
Required Skills & Experience
- Foundational experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms such as Okta or OneLogin.
- Proficiency working within enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Atlassian/Jira).
- Experience with enterprise collaboration tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft O365, and Slack.
- Exposure to MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune or Jamf.
- Basic understanding of enterprise networking principles and troubleshooting techniques.Demonstrated ability to document technical processes and follow standard operating procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Audiovisual (AV) setup and troubleshooting for conference rooms.
- Basic administration experience with enterprise cloud-based telephony systems (e.g., Dialpad).
- A background in Systems Administration (min 2 years experience) and some experience with IT support or service desk operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across time zones.
