Réalta Technologies are seeking an AVEVA PI Engineer with 3+ years experience to support the ongoing development, maintenance, and optimisation of their AVEVA PI infrastructure with a Pharmaceutical client of ours in Cork.

The successful candidate will work closely with Automation, Manufacturing, and Digitalisation teams to ensure reliable data collection, visualisation, and reporting across site systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the administration, maintenance, and optimisation of the AVEVA PI System environment.
  • Configure and maintain PI Interfaces, PI Vision displays, Asset Framework (AF), and Event Frames.
  • Assist with connecting manufacturing and utility equipment to the PI Historian platform.
  • Support troubleshooting activities related to PI data collection, performance, and connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with Automation and Operations teams to ensure accurate and reliable process data reporting.
  • Develop and maintain PI Vision dashboards and reporting solutions for site stakeholders.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patching activities, and lifecycle management of PI infrastructure.
  • Ensure all activities are completed in line with GMP, site procedures, and data integrity requirements.


Job Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience supporting AVEVA PI Systems within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with PI Vision, Asset Framework (AF), PI Data Archive, and PI Interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems and plant data collection architectures.
  • Experience supporting Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical, or Medical Device manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GAMP 5, and data integrity requirements within regulated industries.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system, interface, and connectivity issues across OT environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with Automation, IT, and Operations teams.
  • Experience with scripting, SQL, or reporting tools would be advantageous.
