Located in the heart of Dublin city centre, The Davenport is preparing for a significant evolution, with a clear ambition to further elevate its position within Dublin's luxury hospitality landscape, one that will further elevate the guest experience while building on the property's rich heritage, exceptional location and reputation for warm hospitality.

As part of this journey, we are seeking an ambitious and talented Head Chef to help shape the future of our food and beverage offering.

This is more than a traditional Head Chef role. It is an opportunity to influence and develop a culinary experience that will become an integral part of the hotel's next chapter. From breakfast and lunch to afternoon tea, evening dining, lounge service, this person will play a leading role in carefully curating a food offering that is both refined and approachable, delivering quality, consistency, and genuine hospitality at every touchpoint.

Our vision is not simply to create a restaurant, but to establish a collection of dining experiences that appeal to hotel guests, local residents and business travellers alike. Working closely with the senior leadership team, they will have the opportunity to shape menus, standards, supplier relationships, and kitchen culture, helping to create an offering that reflects the evolving ambitions of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design innovative, seasonal menus that balance indulgence and wellness
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing kitchen team
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Manage kitchen operations including staffing, training, and compliance
  • Drive cost control, minimise waste, and optimise profitability
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership to deliver seamless guest experiences

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality hotel or hospitality environment
  • A creative mindset with a passion for modern, guest-focused dining
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and kitchen performance
  • A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
