What you'll do
  • Oversee the day-to-day control room operations, ensuring all procedures are followed and security presence is always maintained.
  • Manager the control room operators ensuring we have full coverage and everyone is trained in the appropriate processes and procedures.
  • Manage the car parking on site with permits, badging and reporting.
  • Provide the security manager with security data when required.
  • Support with uploading security incidents on both Sodexo and client systems.
  • Train and upskill other control room operators.
  • Manage the JML for access control ensuring we are aligned with the client requirements.
  • Support with the Rota scheduling and time management.
  • Manage and monitor CCTV across site from monitoring to reviewing to aid investigations when required.
  • Manage the site access control system in accordance with the client's standards. This will include running reports and managing the issuing of cards and different clearance levels.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents effectively, ensuring they are reported, investigated, and documented appropriately.
  • Ensure regular and thorough patrols are conducted, and any anomalies or risks are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Review and maintain accurate control room records of incidents, patrols, visitor logs, and other security documentation in line with site and company protocols.
  • Act as a key point of contact between the security team and the Security Manager by managing the radio communication.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and any site-specific requirements.
  • Take charge in emergency situations, following site protocols and supporting evacuation or incident response as needed.

  • Strong security supervisory experience within a manufacturing and gatehouse environment - Essential
  • Relationship management, understanding of external and internal customer management - Essential
  • To be able to prioritise and complete tasks. - Essential
  • Able to respond to and control emergencies. - Essential
  • Excellent communication skills. - Essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of GDPR- Essential
  • To be able to write accurate, legible operational logs, security reports and statements. - Essential
  • Able to operate Microsoft/Excel/PowerPoint and SharePoint - Essential
