Role Profile
Applications are invited from a suitably qualified candidate to join the DCU Ireland India Institute, a research center at DCU that focuses on contemporary India, the region of South Asia, and the links with Ireland and the European Union. The institute brings together scholars working on critical postcolonial geographies, diaspora, security, gender, and social movements.
This specific role is seeking a candidate specializing in Political Sociology, with an advanced research background in gender, social movements, feminist political theory and citizenship in South Asia. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active part in the activities of the DCU Ireland India Institute. This includes executing a personal research project focusing on women's leadership, agency, and contemporary citizenship and migration issues in India and Ireland, while engaging as a co-author in ongoing collaborative publication plans, as well as organising and participating in academic, outreach and dissemination events of the institute.

Salary Scale:
IUA Postdoctoral Researcher Salary Scale - € 47,273 - €47,879 (Point 1 - Point 2)
Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
