About the Position
Reporting to VP, IT Manager - Platform Enablement, the DevOps IT Lead - Platform and Data Operations will lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of developer tooling within the Platform and Data Operations team. This role will act as the product owner for developer platforms and tooling, driving standardisation, automation, and self-service capabilities to enable engineering teams to deliver efficiently at scale. The successful candidate will balance hands-on technical leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring developer platforms are secure, resilient, cost-efficient, and aligned to enterprise standards.
This role is based in the Dublin office.

Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of developer tooling (e.g. CI/CD, source control, observability, AI dev tooling).
- Act as product owner for developer platforms, ensuring usability, adoption, and consistency across teams.
- Standardise tooling while enabling autonomy at scale for development teams.
- Define and implement engineering standards, reusable pipelines, and platform templates.
- Drive adoption of best practices across automation, security, and release management.
- Improve development workflows by reducing manual effort and streamlining delivery pipelines.
- Own daily operational responsibility of developer platforms and tooling, ensuring reliability, performance, and availability.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability using enterprise tooling.
- Deliver self-service capabilities and platform abstractions to enhance developer productivity.
- Define authentication patterns and access models for platform usage.
- Integrate policies, scanning and guardrails into the CD/CD pipelines

- Cloud Platforms: AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Containerisation: Docker, EKS, ECS and Helm
- Secrets Management: HashiCorp Vault, AWS Security Manager
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions. Argo CD or similar for container deployments
- Directory Services: Azure Active Directory, Microsoft AD
- Application integration: SCIM, OAuth and SAML
- Programming Languages: Python
- Version Control: Git
- Monitoring and Logging: DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch
- Security Tools: Jfrog XRay, CodeQL, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Security Hub, AWS IAM and AWS Organizations using SCPs and RCPs.
- Data Science Tooling: JupyterLab, Viola, Airflow
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, etc.) are a plus.
