KNOW THE ROLE

The Inventory Specialist will play a critical role in managing key stock-related activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company procedures.

Reporting to the Head of Operations with a dotted line to the Stock Audit Manager, this role focuses on ensuring that each stock audit is performed and managed effectively, and the business has a clear understanding of the results achieved and actions/remedies to be taken, managing DC deliveries, stock transfers, damages, and debit processes. By ensuring accuracy and efficiency in these areas, the Inventory Specialist will help maintain high operational standards and support the overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports the Stock Audit Analyst and Stock Audit Manager in ensuring the execution of all scheduled stocktakes ensuring stocktakes are set up and conducted efficiently and aligned with business needs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between RIGIS to ensure seamless communication coordination and completion for all stock audits with the support of Store Management Team
  • Ensures that each stocktake/audits are performed and managed effectively, and the store has a clear understanding of the results achieved and actions/remedies to be taken
  • Collaborate with the Stock Audit Analyst to provide required reports and updates on stock management activities
  • Work closely with Store Management Team in investigation of the quantity and value differences found on all audits, particularly on stocktake with the support of Stock Audit Analyst
  • Working closely with Store Management team in ensuring all inventory exceptions and related adjustments are investigated verified and accurately accounted for to drive an efficient and accurate stock file
  • Working closely with Head of Operations and Stock Audit Analyst and Stock Audit Manager in ensuring control measures and audits are conducted on high loss areas
  • Manage and process DC deliveries, ensuring all received stock is accurately recorded and discrepancies are addressed promptly
  • Oversee and coordinate stock transfers between locations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Ensure oversight, compliance and recording of all damaged stock
  • Manage debit processes, including investigating discrepancies and ensuring all records are accurate and compliant
  • Ensure all stock-related activities adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Identify and report any issues or discrepancies related to deliveries, transfers, damages, or debits, and follow up to ensure resolution
  • Processing and completion of RGA's and RTVs
  • Act as a key point of contact between the store and other departments for all inventory related matters
  • Support store teams with stock-related queries and provide guidance on processes.
  • Communicate regularly with the Head of Operations and Stock Audit Manager to ensure alignment on goals and objectives
  • Support the management team to conduct mini audits on selected categories as required


KNOW WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock adjustments, managing deliveries, transfers, damages, and debits
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving stock-related issues
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external partners
  • Proficient in using inventory management systems and tools, with strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Works collaboratively with various teams to support operational excellence
  • Flexibility in working hours that may require working out of store hours and weekends relating to scheduled stocktakes
  • Shows initiative, passion, and decisiveness, consistently producing quality results against given deadlines
  • The person will need to demonstrate flexibility as the systems change and evolve
