Post Summary:- A vacancy exists for an experienced professional in the position of a Chargehand for the Craft Gardening Team within Campus Maintenance of the Estates & Facilities (E&F) Department of Trinity College Dublin. The Chargehand Craft Gardener will lead an experienced in-house team of 2 Craft Gardeners. The Chargehand Craft Gardener will provide the necessary cohesive oversight, leadership and supervision of the Craft Gardeners in undertaking maintenance and new works on the Estate.
The Craft Gardener Team have dedicated area of responsibility, but teamwork is essential across the Campus Maintenance Team to ensure knowledge is shared and each member of the Campus Maintenance Team can support and provide cover for team members when necessary. The Chargehand Craft Gardener will report to the Campus Maintenance Team Leaders who in turn report to the Campus & Grounds Maintenance Manager who in turn reports to the Campus Services Manager.
Post status: Permanent Contract
Hours of Post: 39 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly Craft Chargehand Salary Scale €1,897.85- €1,992.97 per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
