Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to support our growing portfolio of mechanical, data centre, and power generation projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost control, estimating, contract administration, and commercial management from tender through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
Carry out detailed mechanical estimating and tendering
Administer contracts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
Monitor project costs and report on financial performance
Manage subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations
Assess risk, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving measures
Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial control
Support dispute resolution and claims management where required
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in:
Mechanical contracts
Estimating
Commercial management / quantity surveying
Strong background in one or more of the following industries:
Mechanical building services
Data centre projects
Power generation projects
2-3 years' experience working on projects in Ireland and/or Europe
Experience with filtration systems is a strong bonus
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential with strong experience)

Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
Proficient in cost reporting and estimating software
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
