We specialize in integrating enterprise networking capabilities from global IT leaders with purpose-built hardware and software platforms designed to meet the most stringent environmental requirements.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Electrical Engineer to join our team in Dublin. In this role, you will manage and implement key projects based in Dublin, serving the EMEA region. Our team designs and develops advanced networking and compute devices suitable for a variety of applications and environmental challenges. You will work as part of a collaborative team to design products through the entire product lifecycle-from proof of concept (POC), design, certification, and verification, right through to product debugging.
Key Responsibilities
- High-Speed Digital Design: Lead the design and development of high-speed digital circuits, focusing on x86-based architectures, embedded systems, and network devices.
- Analogue & Power Design: Design robust analogue circuitry, power supply units (PSUs), and circuit protection, ensuring compliance with EMC standards.
- Schematic & PCB Layout: Perform schematic capture and collaborate closely on PCB layout design to ensure signal and power integrity.
- Simulation & Verification: Utilize simulation tools to model, verify, and optimize designs prior to prototyping.
- Testing & Debugging: Perform hands-on debugging and product testing of hardware prototypes to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Compliance & Approval: Define and execute Design Verification Testing (DVT) plans to secure regulatory and product approvals.
- Lifecycle Management: Compile and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support the transition from design to manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in electronic design (ideally in a senior or lead capacity).
- Communication: Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with a proven track record of working collaboratively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- ECAD Tools: Proficiency with the Cadence Allegro / OrCAD toolchain (or similar high-end ECAD tools).
- Simulation: Experience with SPICE or other circuit simulation software.
- Project Management: Familiarity with agile project management and issue-tracking tools, such as Jira.
- OS Environment: Working knowledge of Linux environments.
- Networking: Solid understanding of network switching and routing technologies.
- Compliance: Familiarity with designing for electrical and environmental compliance (e.g., CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, CompTIA, ITIL, CISSP, Microsoft, Cisco).
- Experience with Zoom and VTC-related hardware and software.
- Understanding of the ITIL framework and its practical application.
- Experience working in a Zero Trust or beyond-corporate network environment.
- Experience leading technical teams in hardware manufacturing businesses.
