We are seeking a Business Analyst to support and drive enterprise Data Governance initiatives across the organisation. This role will focus on defining business requirements, improving data quality and governance processes, and ensuring data, analytics, and AI capabilities align with business objectives and operational priorities.
Working closely with stakeholders across Data & Analytics, Technology, Customer, Commercial, Finance, and Operations, you will act as the bridge between business and technical teams to deliver scalable and effective governance solutions.
Location: Hybrid (2 days per week in Dublin office)

Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for Data Governance initiatives including:
-Data Governance frameworks
-Metadata and catalogue management
-Data access and ownership models
-Data quality improvement
-Data and AI governance - Support adoption and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise Data Catalogue.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define critical data assets, business rules, and governance processes.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to capture requirements and drive alignment.
- Analyse existing data sources, identify data quality issues, and support solution design and remediation activities.
- Produce clear business and functional requirements, process documentation, and governance artefacts.
- Collaborate with Agile delivery and technology teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Develop and maintain governance operating procedures covering ownership, cataloguing, access, and quality controls.
- Support audit, risk, compliance, and governance reporting activities.
- Monitor and report on governance KPIs, adoption metrics, and programme progress.
Required Experience:
- Experience working as a Business Analyst in data, analytics, governance, or technology environments.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality programmes.
- Experience gathering requirements and facilitating cross-functional workshops.
- Knowledge of data catalogues and metadata management platforms (e.g. Atlan, Collibra, Purview).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements.
