New Residential Service - Social Care Workers Required
- A new residential service for 1-2 people is opening soon, and we're looking for CORU registered Social Care Workers to lead how that support is built. You'll help us find out what's important to the person you're supporting (their choices, relationships, what a good day looks like) and what's important for them (their health, safety, and support needs), and build the home, routines and the team around that.
- With 1-2 people in the home, you'll have real scope to do this properly: build trust, plan thoughtfully and see your work translate directly into someone's quality of life.
- The service is regulated under HIQA or TUSLA depending on who moves in.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the person centered planning process - working out what's important to and for the person you support, and keeping that at the centre of everything
- Building a strong, trusting relationship as a consistent , central presence in the home
- Applying positive behaviour support and person centered strategies in everyday practice
- Supporting routines - meals, personal care and community engagement
- Coaching and supporting the wider team to work in the same person centered way with the support of the PIC
- Managing records, safeguarding notifications and regulatory documentation with support of the PIC
What you'll bring:
- QQI Level 7/8 qualification in social care, CORU registered
- Experience supporting people with disability or children with support needs
- A genuine commitment to person centered values - listening, strengths based thinking and treating the person as the expert in their own life
- Strong communication skills and an understanding of regulation
Nice to have:
- Full driving licence, experience supporting someone with high support needs.
What's on offer
- 16 euro per hour + premiums, pension, employee assistance programme
- Permanent contract with hours to suit you
- Full paid induction training and ongoing CPD
- Supportive leadership and genuine career progression - we're growing
- A brand-new, well staffed home where outcomes are visible and valued, and where you will define how support is done from the very start
