Sr. Manager, Payroll
We're seeking a Sr. Manager, International Payroll to help lead Pinterest's international payroll operations and support the continued scale of our global footprint. Reporting directly to the Director, Global Payroll, you'll oversee payroll execution, compliance and operational excellence across a broad set of countries and partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax, People and external providers. This role is focused on delivering accurate, compliant and scalable payroll operations across Canada, Brazil, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Dubai and Italy.
What you'll do:
- Lead end-to-end international payroll operations across Canada, Brazil, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Dubai and Italy, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple entities, pay groups and jurisdictions
- Partner with the Director, Global Payroll to execute the international payroll strategy and scale processes that support Pinterest's growth across EMEA, APAC, North America and Latin America
- Oversee international payroll compliance, including statutory requirements, tax withholding, social contributions, year-end reporting, local filings and audit readiness across supported countries
- Drive payroll process improvements through standardization, workflow optimization, automation and strong partnership with internal systems teams and external payroll vendors
- Build and strengthen payroll controls, governance and documentation to reduce risk, improve consistency and support accurate financial reporting
- Partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax, People, Total Rewards, Equity and HR operations teams to ensure payroll outcomes align with company policies and country-specific requirements
- Support complex international payroll matters, including cross-border employee movements, global mobility, shadow payroll coordination and equity-related payroll impacts
- Use AI to accelerate analysis, reporting and process documentation, while applying judgment and verification to ensure accuracy, compliance and quality
What we're looking for:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in payroll, including significant experience leading international payroll operations across multiple countries
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll leadership role, including leading teams and driving results in a complex, fast-paced global environment
- Experience in payroll operations across a broad international footprint, ideally spanning EMEA, APAC, and Latin America
- Experience in international payroll compliance, including statutory filings, tax withholding, social insurance requirements, year-end processes and audit support across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience in building and improving payroll processes, controls and operating procedures that increase accuracy, efficiency and scalability
- Experience partnering with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax, People, Equity and external payroll providers to deliver compliant payroll outcomes
- Demonstrated experience using AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day work such as analysis, documentation and reporting, with a clear approach to validating accuracy and quality
- Strong track record of critical evaluation and verification of AI-assisted work, including testing, source-checking, data validation and peer review where appropriate
- High integrity and ownership in handling sensitive employee and payroll data, with accountability for final decisions and deliverables
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, a related field or equivalent experience

- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times per week and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from the Dublin office.
