Accounts Officer

Lir Chocolates, Navan, County Meath

We're looking for an Accounts Officer to join our Finance team in Navan. This is a hands-on, operational role where you'll play a key part in keeping day-to-day financial processes running smoothly across the site.

You'll support the management of both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring suppliers are paid on time, customer accounts are kept up to date, and queries are resolved quickly in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier invoices, including matching to purchase orders and coding accurately
  • Process payments in line with agreed terms
  • Maintain debtor accounts, including invoicing and cash collection
  • Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Respond to queries from suppliers, customers and internal teams
  • Support month-end processes and reporting across AP and AR

Qualifications

This role is focused on day-to-day financial operations and is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, delivery-focused position:

  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Good understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

About Us

Lir Chocolates operates across two modern buildings in the Johnstown IDA Industrial Park, Navan (C15 CY05). The site has a proud history of producing awardwinning chocolates and holds a longstanding partnership with Diageo, manufacturing the wellknown Baileys and Guinness chocolate ranges sold worldwide. With three main production lines and around 150 employees, our workforce can double in size during peak seasonal periods to meet demand. We use a variety of specialist techniques, including panning, oneshot production, spinning, handdecorating, spraying, and transfer technologies. The factory has benefited from significant investment in recent years to support growing demand, and many of our packaging formats are unique and handassembled, creating handson, varied work across both sites.
