Due to exciting and continued growth, our Aviation Advisory Services department are looking for an Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, based in either our Cork or Dublin office.
As an Accountant in our Aviation Advisory Servicesdepartment you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely preparation of financial information, maintaining robust accounting records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, other relevant requirements, and internal processes. The role will work closely with the finance team and wider business to support statutory reporting, audit preparation, analysing, and continuous improvement of finance processes.

As an Accountant in our Aviation Advisory Servicesdepartment you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely preparation of financial information, maintaining robust accounting records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, other relevant requirements, and internal processes. The role will work closely with the finance team and wider business to support statutory reporting, audit preparation, analysing, and continuous improvement of finance processes.
You can expect your duties will include but not limited to:
- Preparation of annual and interim management accounts.
- Preparation of annual statutory financial statements, related disclosures, audit files and support the external audit process.
- Manage timelines to ensure client deliverables are met and maintain excellent client relationships
- Assist in the development and documentation of finance policies, procedures, and process improvements.
- Undertake ad hoc financial analysis and project work as required by management.
What we are looking for:
- Part-Qualified/Newly Qualified accountant, preferably ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in financial accounting, management accounting, audit, or a similar finance role.
- Experience in a regulated, professional services, financial services, aviation, leasing, or corporate services environment would be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles (Irish/UK GAAP, IFRS, or other relevant reporting frameworks), financial reporting requirements, and internal controls.
- Experience preparing reconciliations, journals, management accounts, and financial reports.
- Experience supporting statutory reporting, audit processes, and tax compliance is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to manage competing priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
