Job Description Role: Medical Scientist Location: Limerick Organisation: Private Hospital Job Type: Full Time Permanent or SPC Salary: 41,715 - 68,478 TTM Healthcare Solutions are delighted to be recruiting for a Staff Grade Medical Scientist for a leading private hospital based in Limerick. Key Responsibilities: Under the general direction and control of the Chief Medical Scientist, the Staff Grade Medical Scientist will be responsible for the following: Operate automated analysers including Chemistry, Haematology, Immunoassay and blood gas operation and management of Point of Care equipment. Participate in maintenance of equipment both in Biochemistry and in point of care locations as directed by the head of department Perform other investigations or tests that are deemed necessary by the head of department or Consultant. Participate in internal and external quality control and quality assurance. Participate in care and maintenance of equipment and decontamination and cleaning of departments as required. Actively participate in and promote continuing education and research activities consistent with the values of the hospital. To perform tasks and duties in a manner that ensures compliance with relevant regulations so that the requirements of International standard ISO 15189 (current version), JCI ACCREDITATION STANDARDS for hospitals and relevant Medical Devices Directives 93/42/EC and 98/79/EC are met. Key Requirements: Coru Registration 6 months working as a Medical Scientist in a Clinical Laboratory Excellent Communication skills Roster will generally be over 5 days a week however a flexible approach to work patterns is required in line with service.
