We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Property Claims / Loss Adjuster to join our growing team. This is a home-based role offering the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of domestic and commercial property claims, including complex losses, from instruction through to settlement.
Working within a fast-paced and customer-focused environment, you will play a key role in delivering technical excellence, ensuring claims are handled efficiently, fairly, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for on-site inspections, policy interpretation, and proactive stakeholder management, while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes and service delivery.

  • Complete on-site inspections of domestic and commercial property claims.
  • Review Policy Details & relevant Policy documentation in order to verify policy cover.
  • Pro-actively manage a portfolio of property losses, to include technical complex claims, from instruction to settlement, including ongoing customer engagement, cost delivery and meeting individual Client Requirements.
  • Drive Technical excellence in claims validation through effectively identifying and scoping work in line with policy cover and market rates
  • Responsible for ensuring customers are handled in a professional manner in line with Consumer Protection Code
  • Develop, implement and carry out all practices and procedures as required by the Company and the Group. This will involve obtaining full details / documents for considering the file referral to other specialist units within the Group.
  • Ensure individual workflow claims volumes are managed within agreed SLA's.
  • Promote the ethos of Davies by pro-actively managing the expectations of our Clients' policyholders.
  • This role is home based, and you will on occasion be asked to be available to attend meetings in Dublin offices or other locations.

  • You will need to have a working knowledge of the Irish Insurance claims market.
  • An excellent knowledge of Insurance Principles and all regulation set out by the Central Bank of Ireland, with an ability to apply a practical approach to policy interpretation.
  • You will have the ability to carry out the role in a professional manner, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines whilst displaying strong interpersonal skills.
  • You will be CIP qualified as a minimum or have an equivalent qualification.
  • You are required to have experience in Loss Adjusting or Property Claims Handling
  • You will have a full understanding of all regulatory frameworks, including the CPC/CICA, and GDPR is essential.
  • You will possess robust negotiation skills, excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong focus on customer service together with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • You should have excellent report writing capabilities, be highly flexible and self-motivated, have a high level of initiative and ability to make real-time decisions based on changing information.
  • You will have a clean Driving Licence.
