RapidRatings is a financial technology company on a mission to make the global economy more transparent and resilient. We provide quantitative financial health intelligence that helps enterprises understand the true condition of their suppliers and business partners, enabling smarter risk decisions across complex, global supply chains.

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the customer experience end to end, from discovery through delivery and optimisation. We're looking for someone who identifies problems through research and analytics, designs experiences, and engages closely with engineering through design, delivery, and post-delivery to bring them to life and measure their impact. You'll help drive strategic redesign engagements with external partners and take end-to-end design responsibility within the product team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Research and Discovery

  • You will lead user and experience research across our product surfaces.
  • You will plan and run customer interviews, usability studies, surveys, journey reviews, and other discovery activities.
  • You will synthesise qualitative and quantitative findings into clear insights that shape product decisions.
  • You will help the team understand not only what users ask for, but what they are trying to achieve, where they experience friction, and what would make them more successful.

AI-Assisted Design Practice

  • You will own and continuously evolve an AI-assisted design practice within the product team.
  • You will use AI to improve the way we move from problem framing to UX specifications, journey mapping, design exploration, accessibility review, design-system alignment, implementation support, and post-launch measurement.

You should be comfortable working with approaches such as spec-driven development, context engineering, and AI workflow design. You do not need to believe that AI replaces design judgement. In fact, the opposite is true. We are looking for someone who can use AI as a design amplifier while applying strong human judgement to validate, refine, and improve the output.

You will actively discover, evaluate, and pilot emerging AI-driven design tools, and you will help the team decide where these tools genuinely improve outcomes and where they do not.

Product Design

  • Design end-to-end user journeys, workflows, and interfaces, from early concepts through to delivery-ready design.
  • Engage closely with engineering during design, delivery, and post-delivery to bring experiences to life across audiences ranging from expert enterprise users working with dense data to first-time users being onboarded for the first time.

In-Product Experience and Growth

  • Design and own in-product experiences that drive engagement and adoption, including onboarding flows, feature adoption campaigns, and contextual guidance. Every initiative starts with a hypothesis and ends with a measurement. You'll design for behaviour change, not just usability.

Behavioural Analytics
Own the behavioural analytics that show what is actually happening in the product. Define what to measure, build the views that surface it, and use that data to identify friction, validate design decisions, and close the loop between what is designed and what users do.

Design System
Own and evolve the design system so it remains accurate, accessible, and trusted, and so it stays connected to how design and engineering actually deliver.

Cross-Functional Partnership
Contribute to product requirements at the discovery stage and represent the customer's perspective in roadmap and prioritisation conversations.

  • Partner with Engineering, Customer Success, and go-to-market teams to surface customer feedback as design input. You're a contributor to product strategy, not a downstream executor of it.

What We're Looking For

  • AI-native designer: you integrate AI into your design workflow in ways that produce better outcomes, not just faster outputs, and you have hands-on experience with approaches such as spec-driven development, context engineering, and building AI workflows that span the design lifecycle
  • You actively discover, evaluate, and pilot AI-driven design tools, and you have a clear point of view on where they add value and where they don't
  • 5+ years in product design, with a portfolio demonstrating the full range from discovery through delivery and post-launch measurement
  • Real research experience: you've planned and run interview programmes, synthesised qualitative data, and used findings to change what got built
  • Hands-on with behavioural analytics: you pull and interpret product data yourself rather than waiting for an analyst
  • Strong design-tool capability across modern and AI-driven tools (for example Figma, Stitch, and emerging AI design platforms)
  • Comfortable as a solo design IC: you set your own direction, manage your own priorities, and bring stakeholders with you
  • Enterprise B2B background; experience designing for data-intensive analytics or financial products preferred
  • Experience with in-product engagement and adoption tooling, and with building or maintaining a design system in a team environment, is a strong plus
  • Awareness of developer experience (DX) and the emerging discipline of agent experience (AX), and an interest in helping design how developers and AI agents consume our products, is a strong plus

Who You Are

You've owned the customer experience end to end and you know the difference between design that's informed by evidence and design that's decorated with it. You're as comfortable running a research session as you are partnering with engineers to bring an experience to life, and you treat analytics as a design instrument, not an afterthought. You're energised, not threatened, by AI in the design process, and you have a point of view on where it helps and where it doesn't. You operate with autonomy, bring people with you, and care about the experience of every person who depends on the products you own.
