B. Department Role Overview
The Arts Council comprises just over 150 staff based at one site on Merrion Square in Dublin. The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon is an autonomous body established in 1951 to stimulate public interest in, and promote the knowledge, appreciation and practice of the arts. We are the Irish State's principal instrument of arts funding and an advisory body to Government on arts matters. For further information on the work of the Council visit www.artscouncil.ie
C. Key Responsibilities
The duties associated with this post include, but are not limited to the following:
Supporting the end-to-end operations of the Grant Management System (GMS), including funding scheme system configuration, award opening/closing, application intake, and document retrieval. Using SQL to query data, update records, and troubleshoot database issues.
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues in the GMS.
Supporting external applicants using the GMS with system-related issues and inquiries.
Providing technical support and issue resolution to internal employees using corporate ICT systems;
Generating reports to support decision-making using GMS tools and PowerBI.
Contributing to process and procedure documentation;
Supporting the Council in the planning, testing, and implementation of related projects.
Note: Arts Council roles and responsibilities are subject to change as per on-going and future organisational requirements and developments. Other duties appropriate to the grade that may be assigned from time to time.
