Goods In/Out Night Supervisor

Overview

My Client is looking to recruit a Goods In/Out Supervisor for their distribution Depot based in Galway. The person appointed will be responsible for the end to end running of the cross-docking process, including the line management of the team (shunter and loader), with health and safety accountability.

This is a responsible and varied role which would suit someone who wishes to make a strong impact and progress their career in the Company.

Qualifications

• • To hold a counterbalance truck license is preferrable
  • 1-2 Years working in a busy warehouse preferrable
  • Manual Handling Certificate

Responsibilities

• Manage all operations conducted at the assigned cross dock, such as scheduling of goods to be received; sorting deliveries and ensuring customer deliveries are re-loaded onto the correct trucks for multi-drops in a timely manner for dispatch.
• Directly manages all personnel assigned, including the indirect supervision of third-party employees/drivers
• Maintaining a good housekeeping regime - clean floor, clear of obstruction
• Managing returns, empty pallets, combies, trays etc
• Ensuring 3rd parties using the facility are adhering to site rules.
• Ability to co-ordinate the activities (goods in/out; transport; and staff).
• Demonstrate sustained high performance and effective delivery of results
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, customers, drivers, and staff.
