Reporting To: Reception Manager

Location: Riverside Park Hotel Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

Job Summary

As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, offering a warm and professional welcome while ensuring their stay is seamless from check-in to check-out. This role requires someone who demonstrates care in every interaction, brings energy and drive to a busy front-of-house environment, and consistently aims to get better by maintaining high standards and seeking opportunities to improve. A strong sense of doing the right thing for guests, colleagues, and the hotel is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally, showing genuine care in creating a positive first impression.
  • Check guests in and out efficiently, ensuring accuracy and demonstrating a commitment to doing the right thing.
  • Handle guest queries, reservations, and special requests courteously and effectively, always looking for opportunities to go the extra mile.
  • Process payments and manage billing with transparency, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls promptly, offering friendly, helpful assistance and maintaining energy and drive during busy periods.
  • Liaise with other departments, housekeeping, porters, leisure club, to support smooth operations, reflecting a mindset of always getting better through teamwork and communication.
  • Responding to all emails in a timely and professional fashion.
  • Create and Update menus as requested using Canva.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming front desk, taking pride in upholding high standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and service standards, consistently doing the right thing for guests and the hotel.


Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a receptionist or front-office role, preferably within a hotel environment.
  • Proficiency in reservation systems (Hotsoft & SiteMinder preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural sense of care for guests and colleagues.
  • Ability to multitask and stay composed in a high-pressure environment, bringing energy and drive to daily responsibilities.
  • Professional and friendly demeanour with a customer-first approach and a commitment to doing the right thing.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn, adapt, and always get better.
  • Flexibility to work day & evening shifts including weekends as required.
