A vacancy exists for an experienced Research Assistant to work on veterinary vaccine immunology, based in the School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, UCC. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated experienced research assistant to work in our vaccine research team. The research builds on our significant expertise in developing and commercialising novel vaccines and delivery platforms. The scientist will have at least 4 years of expertise in assessing immune responses in vaccinated pigs. The scientist must have strong experience in producing vaccine-loaded dissolvable microneedle patches and assessing humoral immunity that is induced by this vaccine technology. The candidate must also possess excellent communication, planning, organising, team working, practical, problem solving, and record-keeping skills. The scientist must have a proven track record in supporting a vaccine development team focused on vaccine-induced immunity in human and/or large animal pre-clinical models. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
