We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join the dynamic Endoscopy Team at a leading private hospital in Dublin.
As a Staff Nurse - Endoscopy, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a modern and fast-paced unit. You will support patients throughout their endoscopy journey, assist in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, uphold the highest safety standards, and contribute to the efficient and compassionate running of the service.

As a Staff Nurse - Endoscopy, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a modern and fast-paced unit. You will support patients throughout their endoscopy journey, assist in a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, uphold the highest safety standards, and contribute to the efficient and compassionate running of the service.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide safe, effective nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures (e.g., gastroscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, ERCP).
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and instruments in accordance with infection control and hospital protocols.
- Admit, assess, and prepare patients pre-procedure, ensuring all relevant documentation and consent are in place.
- Assist the endoscopist during procedures, including equipment handling, monitoring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Provide post-procedure care, including recovery monitoring, patient education, and discharge planning.
- Respond effectively to clinical emergencies and follow hospital safety procedures.
- Maintain accurate, timely nursing records and documentation.
Requirements
- Registered General Nurse
- Be on the live register with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- 2 years post qualification experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
